11 Smart Ways to Repurpose a Stasher Bag

11 Smart Ways to Repurpose a Stasher Bag

That feeling when you accidentally damage your Stasher bag with a hole, rip, or tear. Oh, the horror! Your first reaction may be that your bag has been rendered useless, but we're here to let you in on some great news: there are plenty of ways you can still use your damaged Stasher. Huzzah!

You can always send your damaged Stasher back to us to be repurposed as playground pebbles, but your bag likely has a ton of life left to give! Sustainable living means repurposing items even after they are past their prime, so let’s explore some ways to keep using that damaged Stasher.

Organize your tech gear

Even if it’s ripped, your Stasher is a great tool to help organize things like headphones, USB drives, or external hard drives (among other things) in your bag.

Keep your gym bag fresh

Likewise, storing your hand wraps, gloves, ropes, and other gym essentials in a Stasher keeps your bag neat and tidy, and can even help you keep your bag fresh by stashing dirty gym clothes in them when you're done.

Carry wrapped food and snacks

Sometimes you need a Stasher bag just to keep all your goodies in one place like granola bars, tea bags, or anything else that’s individually wrapped. A damaged Stasher is a great solution since they don’t really need to be kept fresh, just contained. For me, I keep an old snack Sasher full of tea bags and other herbal goodies in my bag.

Stash kid supplies

We're talking markers, LEGOs, crayons, goo, anything else that needs to be contained but doesn't necessarily need to be protected from the elements. Toss a sandwich Stasher of markers and a few pieces of blank paper in your bag, or a snack bag full of LEGOs, and you've got a great way to keep kids entertained at a restaurant, without the need for screens.

Shop at the bulk bins

If your bag doesn’t fully seal or it has a small hole, you still may be able to use it in the bulk bin. Bigger items like whole nuts, candy, or large pasta noodles may be just fine if you decant your goods into a jar or container once you get home.

Stash your supplements

I love using silicone Stasher bags when I travel to keep any bottles of supplements, medications, and/or herbal tinctures tidy in my suitcase. If your bag still seals (or even if it doesn’t, depending on the situation), it could be a great companion for your travel bag or even stored in your desk drawer.

Coins for the parking meter

Broken Pocket Stasher? No problem — fill it with loose change and keep it in the glovebox of your car, ready at any moment you find the perfect (metered) parking spot.

Stash your tissues

A supply of tissues to-go, stored in a damaged or broken Stasher, is a life-saver during cold and flu season. You know how uncomfortable it is when you're driving, walking, or biking, and your nose starts running? Yeah, this will solve a lot of your woes.

Dog treats

Guess what? Your pets won’t notice if their treats are stored in a broken Stasher.

Bring healthy movie snacks

Not everyone enjoys the boxed candy options or other snacks movie theaters offer, so depending on the damage, you could still use a broken Stasher to bring your own bulk candy, nuts, or other snacks to enjoy during your movie.

Store photos

What do you do with all those photobooth photos, old images, or memories you don't want to let go of? Your broken Stasher could be a great place to keep all your pics in one spot and free from wrinkles and folds.

If these ideas don't spark your imagination, and you aren't a fan of reusing a damaged Stasher, we got you — we’d love to take them back as part of our repurpose program
